Dublined in Europe

During her journey to reach France, Nurah crossed Italy, where she had to have her fingerprints taken. These prints make her ‘Dublined’ in Europe, in other words a migrant who has already been registered in another European country and who therefore cannot seek asylum in France.

Cergy: free medical consultations for migrants

Première Urgence Internationale organized free medical consultations for the migrants welcomed to the former ice rink of Cergy-Préfecture on Wednesday, May 10th. 153 migrants were conveyed there after the evacuation of the street camps of Porte de la Chapelle, on May 9th for shelting.

Every day, nearly 100 migrants arrive on foot or by train in Paris, their first point of arrival in France. In 2015, there was an increase in street camps in the capital. The city of Paris tried to take some steps to improve reception arrangements and to limit street camps, but it was not enough.
