In Palestine, the olive harvest season is wasted by attacks, this year again

[Infography] Between 1st October and 9th November 2020, at least 120 Palestinian farmers have been directly attacked while picking their olives. On the same period, more than 1,475 trees have been vandalized. Oxfam and the West Bank Protection Consortium publish a clear infography on the topic to raise alert on this annual phenomenon, endangering the Palestinian economy and the civilians’ livelihood.

In Bardarash camp, Premiere Urgence Internationale improved the quality of mental health services

Since December 2019, Première Urgence Internationale managed for nine months the provision of primary free health care services in the reopened camp of Bardarash, Kurdistan region of Iraq. The teams ensured individual mental health follow-up and counselling, as well as training of Iraqi doctors to improve the services provided inside the camp.

In Cameroon, “school brigades” formed to promote hygiene in schools

For the past two years, Première Urgence Internationale has been carrying out awareness-raising activities on water, hygiene and sanitation in 11 schools in Cameroon. In 2018 and 2019, 7,740 children and 180 teachers and parents benefited from awareness-raising programmes in newly equipped and sanitised schools.
